With 2011 coming to a close, it’s time to reflect on the past year, and to also look ahead with excitement and optimism at the year ahead! This is also the time that some of us make new year’s resolutions. We thought we’d talk to some of our blog contributors to get their thoughts on the topic:

Sebastien – I don’t always make New Year’s resolutions, but I understand why they are important. This year I’ve made a few promises to myself:

1. Drink more water. If I have to bring a citrus fruit to work and add some flavor – a slice of orange, lemon, or if I’m feeling crazy maybe grapefruit – I am going to stay better hydrated.

2. Be nicer to people.  I tend to be impatient, and have a short fuse. That is something I’d love to change about myself.

3. Stretch after working out – I tend to be lazy and cut my workout short, and stretching is the part I usually sacrifice. As I get older, I think it’s becoming a problem.

4. Do more cardio. Find ways to make it entertaining, and exciting, which will be the biggest challenge!

Kora – I know it sounds super cliché but I really want to resolve to enjoy every single day that I have. We tend to get so caught up in our problems and every day drama that we forget how lucky we are and how wonderful the small things can be. Also, I will put away my iPhone unless I actually need it for important stuff…. Like phone calls.

Alyssa – My resolution is to eat healthier. I eat too much unhealthy stuff that I shouldn’t,  and then I feel gross afterwards and complain about it!
