There’s no denying people tend to gravitate towards neutral colours for the base or bones of a space. Over the past few months there has been a growing demand for blue coloured accents, but especially in teal. It’s a gender neutral, and appeals to both female and male consumer. That is the general appeal of blue. Typically, if a man wants to add colour, blue is the first choice. It’s also less likely to cause controversy, which is always a bonus. It pairs very well with neutral tones and it has a bit of a contemporary coastal feel. It is reminiscent of waters and oceans and I think that may be one of the strongest reasons for the attraction to the colour.
